Union, Roselle Park mark Juneteenth with Flag Raising
Union County Commissioner James Baker Jr. and Union County Commissioner Alexander Mirabella joined Mayor Joseph Signorello Jr., Councilwoman Antonuccio-Lyons and Councilman Petrosky at the Borough of Roselle Park’s annual Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony.
The ceremony included artwork from students across the Roselle Park School District, with the students’ work depicting what freedom and unity mean to them and to their community.
Organizers thanked attendees for coming out to celebrate and to reflect on the values they said bring the community together.
