Missing Man Found Safe, Alert Canceled

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office posted an update late Tuesday saying an alert for a missing man has been canceled. The office said Gary Allen Lugeanbeal, 78, was located safe and is now with family.

In the update, the sheriff’s office thanked the Union County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in locating him.

Earlier, the sheriff’s office said Lugeanbeal was missing from 148 Stratton Drive in Carr Acres and was last seen around noon that day. The post said his car was last spotted at about 6:18 p.m. on Hwy 45 toward Saltillo.

The alert also said he was last seen at 7:09 p.m. on Hwy 348 toward Union County. The post added that Lugeanbeal suffers from a condition that causes confusion and disorientation and that anyone who sees him should call 911.
