The City of Linden posted a Father’s Day greeting on its social media page, thanking dads, grandfathers and father figures in Linden.

The message said the city is celebrating the men who guide, protect and inspire the next generation. It also thanked biological dads, adoptive fathers, grandpas, uncles and mentors for their “endless support and love,” and said the city hopes they can relax and enjoy the day with family and friends.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said a missing 78-year-old man was found safe and is now with family. An alert for Gary Allen Lugeanbeal was canceled after he was located.
