Garwood Summer Camp Registration Still Open
Garwood Recreation said summer camp registration is still open.
The program lists a price of $160 per child for all six weeks. Garwood Recreation said that price is available only until June 14, adding that registration should be completed before prices increase.
Registration is available online at www.garwoodrec.com. The post said questions can be sent by email to recreation@garwood.org.

Missing Man Found Safe, Alert Canceled
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said a missing 78-year-old man was found safe and is now with family. An alert for Gary Allen Lugeanbeal was canceled after he was located.

Garwood is inviting residents to a Pride Month Celebration at the Garwood Public Library on Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. The event will include story time, crafts, and snacks for all ages.

Union County Officials Mark Juneteenth Near Elizabeth City Hall

Garwood to Hold Memorial Day Service, Luncheon
The Borough of Garwood and the Garwood Recreation Committee will hold a Memorial Day Remembrance Service and Luncheon on May 25. The event starts at 12 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, and no pre-registration is needed.

Jill Pall, local author and founder of the Aliver Foundation, will read "Pacey the Happy Heart!" at the Garwood Free Public Library. The interactive reading is set for 6:30 PM on Thursday, June 4.
