Greeley O Street Closed for Water Pipeline Upgrade

Starting June 9, a section of O Street between North 25th and North 23rd Avenues in Greeley will be closed for a water project. The project involves installing approximately 2,000 feet of new 16-inch water pipe, a new fire hydrant, and air-release valves to improve water service and fire protection. The estimated project duration is about two months, with work expected to be completed by the first week of August.

Motorists who usually travel along O Street between 11th and 35th Avenues are advised to use AA Street to the north or 4th Street to the south. Posted detour signs will be in place to direct traffic. Access to Platte Valley Youth Services and the Weld County Jail will remain open.

County Road 37 will be closed during the project’s initial stage and will reopen at O Street for eastbound traffic from July 7 to July 24. Reynolds Construction LLC, the city’s chosen contractor, will temporarily suspend work from June 27 through July 7 to accommodate increased traffic due to the Greeley Stampede and Fourth of July fireworks show.
