YMCA Camp Cory releases Summer 2026 staff highlights
Raiden Kawakyu-O’Connor — Lifeguard Instructor
Rai is ecstatic to return for his seventh summer at Camp Cory and his third year on staff. He lives in Cleveland and studies Biology and Medical Anthropology at Case Western Reserve University. In his free time, Rai likes to play bass, snowboard, and play volleyball. He cannot wait to work the CITs this summer and help make camp a place for everyone!
Ava Rubens — Junior Counselor
Ava is from Rochester, N.Y., and will be a senior this upcoming fall at Brighton High School. This is Ava’s third year at camp, and this will be her official first year on staff. She enjoys hanging out with her friends, boat days on Keuka Lake, shopping, and meeting new people.
Aidan Burrell — Senior Counselor
Student and professional funny guy, Aidan, is from Fredonia, N.Y. This is his first year on staff at Camp Cory. Aidan studies acting at SUNY Fredonia, where he has founded the Fredonia Kazoo Choir, an organization that strives to bring joy. In his limited free time, he enjoys videography, singing/acting, mischief, writing, and learning new things.
