The City of Greeley reported three highlights from “last night’s” City Council meeting.

Airport improvements
The Council approved an amendment to a cost-sharing agreement with Weld County and the Airport Authority to support additional infrastructure improvements at the Greeley-Weld County Airport. The project extends Wing Way and adds new taxiway improvements to support future development and economic growth at the airport.

Housing revenue bonds
The Council approved resolutions declaring its intent to issue tax-exempt housing revenue bonds for three apartment projects: the Prairie Rose Rehab, Hope Springs, and Island Grove Village Apartments. The bonds are described as helping support the development and preservation of affordable housing opportunities in the community.

As part of the 2027 budget process, the City Attorney’s Office presented a proposed budget that meets its 17% reduction target. The City said the target would be met through a combination of personnel and operating cost reductions.
