National Crime Victims’ Rights Week events planned in Greeley
Greeley, Colo. — The Greeley Police Department is marking National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, which runs April 19-25, 2026. The 2026 theme is “Listen. Act. Advocate.”
The department says the week’s message emphasizes listening to the stories of survivors, acting by providing support and accessible resources, and advocating for laws and policies that protect the vulnerable. The release notes that justice goes beyond what happens in a courtroom and involves the community supporting those affected by trauma.
On April 21 at 4:30 p.m., the department will plant a tree at Bittersweet Park to honor victims and their stories. If inclement weather occurs, the event will be moved to the Greeley Police Department.
Victims may register to speak at the event by scanning the QR code on the pictured graphic.
The release identifies Weld County, Colorado, and references the observance in Weld County during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Hashtags included with the post are #NCVRW2026 and #ListenActAdvocate.
