**Greeley City Council Proclaims Black History Month and Youth Arts Month**

During last night’s City Council meeting in Greeley, Colorado, Mayor John Gates issued two proclamations recognizing February as Black History Month and March as Youth Arts Month.

The proclamation for Black History Month highlights an opportunity to honor the achievements and contributions of African Americans both locally and across the nation. The City of Greeley emphasized the importance of acknowledging the challenges, progress, and innovative spirit of Black Americans who have shaped and enriched communities, including Greeley and Weld County.
